Strengthening of Pappu Nalah- Jollang-Chimpu road begins

ITANAGAR, Sep 6: Deputy Commissioner of Itanagar-Capital Complex, Prince Dhawan accompanied by officials from the District Administration and PWD on Wednesday inspected the Pappu Nalah- Jollang-Chimpu road, which is also a major district road, to oversee the ongoing work for the strengthening of the pavement which has begun from Chimpu side.
Stressing that the road would also serve as an alternate road once the construction work for NH-415 from Chandranagar to Pappu Nallah starts, the DC directed Executive Engineer Tana Nikam Tara to expedite the pavement work and immediately start restoration of potholes and other repair works along the road.
The inspection was carried out to ensure that the works are going on in full swing and in turn improve the condition of the road by March 2018.
He also visited ESS Sector where the road towards Doordarshan Colony is very narrow and enquired about the proposal for the construction of a Bailey bridge there.
The DC has appealed to the citizens of the Capital Complex to cooperate with the District Administration while carrying out the restoration work.
Later, local MLA and Parliamentary Secretary, Techi Kaso also inspected the Jullang road at Ganga and took stock of the restoration work. (DIPRO)
