Cake controversy refuses to die down

ITANAGAR, Sep 8: The cake-cutting controversy involving BJP leaders refuses to die down with one Yangbiu Tajuk lodging one more FIR with Naharlagun Police Station against Union Minister Kiren Rijiju, Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein and Minister Mohesh Chai for allegedly showing disrespect to Indian flag and map.
The FIR stated that Rijiju, Mein and Chai cut a cake inscribed/decorated with the tri-colour, national flower and Indian map on August 24 at Naharlagun.
In the FIR, the complainant stated that this kind of act by elected representatives holding high constitutional posts was very unfortunate and hurt the sentiments of every Indian citizen.
The complainant appealed to the Officer-in-Charge of Naharlagun Police Station that a case be registered against them under Prevention of Insults to National Honour Act, 1971 & Emblems and Names (Prevention of Improper use) Act, 1950 or any other prevailing Acts which deals with the protection of national sanctity and unity of the motherland, for showing disrespect to national honor.
