Meet held to improve quality of education

ITANAGAR, Sep 8: In a bid to ensure further quality education in the State, Secretary Education Bidol Tayeng convened a meeting of the Executive Members of All Arunachal Private Schools’ Association (AAPSA) and Sahodaya Itanagar Chapter.
The meeting held in the conference hall of the Directorate of Technical Education apprised AAPSA and Sahodaya on the MHRD policies and directed the Principals on the matter of training in-service untrained teachers as per RTE Act 2009.
The Secretary Education encouraged all the Principles to reach out to all the elementary school teachers so that by March 31, 2019 all teachers, teaching in elementary section with a minimum qualification of class XII with 50 percent marks (relaxtion of 5% in certain cases) register and complete D.EI.Ed programme, which is an online programme being conducted by NIOS to train the elementary school teachers.
Tayeng further explained the process of registration of schools and to ensure that all the teachers are trained within the stipulated time and Arunachal Pradesh be ahead of the rest of the country in fulfilling the directive of MHRD.
The Secretary, Education, further requested the private schools to take all fire precautionary measures to prevent fire accidents and to sensitize all the staff on POSCO Act in order to prevent any incident of sexual harassment in educational institutions.
Director Elementary Education, Tapi Gao, Nodal Officer for D.EI.Ed. programme and DDSE, Capital Complex also interacted with the members.
