Org demands appointment of genuine candidate

ITANAGAR, Sep 8: The Library and Information Science Students’ Association of Arunachal Pradesh (LISSAAP) in a memorandum to the Chief Secretary has alleged nepotism and biasness in the selection/appointment of candidate for the post of junior librarian in the Department of Secondary Education and demanded that the number one wait listed candidate be appointment immediately.
Claiming that lots of discrepancies in the answer sheets of the selected candidates were found, the Association in its memorandum appealed the CS to constitute a SIT enquiry to unearth the truth behind the appointments.
Armed with RTI documents, the Association further said that eight-member committee which was constituted on July 10, 2017 to look into the issue had pronounced victim’s claim to be genuine. After committee report, concerned department had forwarded victim’s file to the concerned higher authorities for necessary action, but nothing has been done till date, the Association said.
Further alleging illegal appointments during the recruitment of various posts under the department of Elementary Education vide advertisement No EED2/342/APT/2013, the Association also demanded for immediate cancellation of all such illegal appointments and enquiry for the same.
