Cash incentive handed over to mountaineering achiever

ITANAGAR, Sep 13: Director Youth Affairs, D K Dinglow handed over a Cheque of Rs 2 lakhs as cash incentive to Tsering Palmo for her successful summit of Mount Lhotse (8516 Mtr) in the Nepal Himalayas in 2012.
Hailing from Tashigoan Village in Upper Siang district, Palmo is the first Indian women to participate in the Everest marathon, the world’s highest marathon in 2012 and stood first.
The Director of Youth affairs hailed Palo for her achievements in mountaineering and adventure sports and sought her help to explore the unexplored mountains of Arunachal Pradesh.
Joint Director Ramesh Linggi, Tapi Mra (APO) and Dr K R Meetei (In-charge Adventure Cell) were present on the occasion.
