Parliament logjam

The functioning of both the houses of parliament is being affected due to continued protest by opposition Congress over Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s recent remarks against former Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh and others. The proceeding of Rajya Sabha is not being allowed to function due to repeated stalling of session by the members of Congress. Even intervention by Chairman M Venkiah Naidu did not bore any result. PM Modi during an election rally in Gujarat had alleged that former PM and other Congress leaders conspired with Pakistan to defeat BJP in the state.
He made these allegations without any proof. Dr Manmohan Singh who seems visibly hurt by the allegation strongly responded and said that Modi should apologize to the nation for trying to suggest that he conspired with Pakistan. Though the election is over, the issue is yet to die as Congress do not seems to be in mood to relent. The PM will have to come clean and clarify in this regard. If he has enough evidence suggesting that Dr Singh and Congress conspired with Pakistan an FIR should be lodged and strong case should be initiated. Otherwise PM will be left with no option but to apologize for unnecessarily harming the image of Dr Singh. Also if the logjam continues there is every chance that entire winter session of Rajya Sabha will be completely washed out. This will severely hamper the governance and may lead to delay in passing of several important bills. Now the onus lies with Prime Minister Modi to come clean on this whole controversy.
