Prioritize health & road sector

With barely few days left to present state budget, the government of Arunachal is reaching out to the citizens seeking ideas to incorporate in the budget. Holding of pre budget discussion with the community based organizations is a good move. Hopefully the government will include the suggestions put forwarded by the citizens in the budget proposal. This is the last budget from the Pema Khandu led BJP government before the assembly election is held.
Therefore it is the final opportunity for them to woo the voters. With all probability that state may witness early election the budget 2018 assumes greater significance. All eyes will be on deputy chief minister Chowna Mein who will present budget in the state assembly. As it is the last budget before election, the state government should prioritize critical sector like health and road. In compare to rest of the country, road network is very poor in Arunachal. Most of the existing roads are in pathetic condition. Also there is need to construct new roads to improve interstate connectivity. People of state are crying for the better road. Another sector which needs urgent attention of government is health. The condition of government hospitals continues to be pathetic. Left with no choice the people have to depend on private hospitals. Considering the needs of the citizen, the state government should prioritize health and road sector in the coming budget.
