Citizens should remain alert

Now that financial year 2017 has ended and the new financial year has begun, the people of Arunachal are hoping that development will take centre stage. Several major development projects are on the offing. State govt announced many projects in the budget and time has come for its implementation. In the next six month projects under SIDF, SADA, Untied Fund, PMGSY, NEC, NLCPR etc will be implemented across the state. The people of Arunachal will have to play the role of ‘watchman’ and keep an eye on the progress of these projects.
One of the main reasons for underdevelopment of state is utter misuse of the government fund. Success state government has failed to properly implement the developmental projects especially the important infrastructure projects. The corrupt nexus of politicians, contractors and government officials are the root cause of the failure of these projects. Present regime under the leadership of Chief Minister Pema Khandu has vowed to check corruption and ensure proper implementation of the government schemes. The time has arrived for CM to walk the talk. Especially government should strictly monitor the implementation of road projects. The roads are lifeline of the citizens. Good road will lead to faster development of the state. Also the citizens need to remain vigil and play their part in ensuring proper implementation of government schemes.
