Disastrous Kashmir policy

What is happening in Jammu and Kashmir has potential to cause further chaos in the troubled state. After the PDP, Congress and NC attempted to form a government, the Governor Satya Pal Malik on Wednesday night announce the decision to dissolve the state assembly. The decision of Governor is partisan and against the spirit of democracy. Ever since PDP and BJP parted ways due to which Mehbooba Mufti lead alliance government fell, the president’s rule was imposed in the state. Just when three parties started the motion to try cobble numbers to form government, the Governor dissolved the state assembly.
This brazen disregard for democratic ethos is becoming new normal in the Modi era. Also the BJP leader Ram Madhav’s suggestion in a tweet that NC leader Omar Abdullah joined hand with Mehbooba Mufti to form a government on “instructions from across the border” is outrageous and will immensely harm the India’s interest. Omar Abdullah was rightfully quite incensed with Mr Madhav and dared the BJP leader to prove his allegation, saying agencies like the Research and Analysis Wing (RAW), National Investigation Agency and Intelligence Bureau were at his disposal. Though Mr Madhav took back his allegation but this habit of right wing group to always doubt patriotism of Kashmiri leaders are uncalled for. All the Kashmiri politicians over the years have shown that they are true patriot of India and continue to owe allegiance to country despite facing threats from various Pakistan backed terrorist groups. Therefore right wing group should stop this patriotism test. Also the disastrous Kashmir policy adopted by Narendra Modi lead BJP government has reversed the decades of gain including the good will invested by former PM Atal Bihari Vajypayee and is taking valley to bad old days.
