Complete work on time

Recently, the All Kimin Youth Welfare Association alleged that the Border Roads Organisation (BRO) is constructing the Kimin-Potin road at a sluggish pace, causing more trouble to the citizens. Due to the reckless construction activities, several accidents have been reported on the said stretch of road. The work on the Kimin-Potin road reportedly started in November 2013, and it was supposed to be completed by March 2017. Even after two years of missing the deadline, the BRO is yet to complete this road. The BRO seems to be in a mess as they are finding it hard to complete a mere 20 km stretch of road.
Over the years, the BRO has been struggling to complete major road projects in the state. Allegations of corruption have also damaged the image of the organisation. Once hugely respected for its quality work and the sincerity of its officials, today the BRO is struggling to meet the expectations of the people of Arunachal Pradesh. Because of its poor performance, most of the road projects have been taken away from it. Today, all the major projects are being implemented by the state PWD, the NHIDCL and the ministry of road, transport and highways.
The Kimin-Potin road is the only alternative road available for the people of Lower Subansiri, Kurung Kumey, Upper Subansiri and Kamle districts. If the Yupia-Potin road is damaged, the people depend on the Kimin-Potin road to reach their destinations. Therefore, the BRO should speed up the work and complete this project on time.
