DC instructs police to take strict action against Covid SOP violators

PALIN, 28 May: Kra Daadi DC Higio Tala reviewed the status of the Covid-19 preparedness in the district during a meeting with all the stakeholders here on Friday.

Tala directed the police to take strict action against those who violate the Covid-19 standard operating procedures (SOP). He said that intra-village movement must be restricted within the declared containment zones, and that sufficient police personnel must be deployed at the entry and exit points.

He applauded the services being rendered by the healthcare workers and all other officials in the fight against the pandemic.

District Reproductive Child Health Officer Dr Nani Tanyo informed that 3,669 persons have so far received the anti-Covid vaccine in the district. He also said that many people from the district are taking the vaccine in the Itanagar capital region. He attributed this as one of the reasons for the low vaccination coverage rate in Kra Daadi.

District Medical Officer Dr Chasen Lowang Mallo, DSP Torum Makcha and Gangte Circle Officer Gumku Tako also expressed their views and suggestions during the meeting. (DIPRO)
