\nSpeaking at the All Arunachal Private Schools’ Association (AAPSA)-Sahodaya Teachers’ Day celebration at DBYC in Itanagar, the former Chief Minister also noted that poorly paid teachers of private schools often perform better.
\nHe called upon the AAPSA and Sahodaya to continue playing the central role of uniting various private educational institutions of the state and to be life-givers to children.
\nTuki also congratulated the AAPSA and Sahodaya for constantly coming up with meaningful interventions for private school students and teachers for the past eight years.
\nEducation Secretary, Bidol Tayeng announced the government’s intention to have an interaction with the AAPSA to discuss on certain important issues pertaining to education.
\nMotivational talks were given on the occasion by Dr V N Sharma and Bikash Bage, Head of the Department of Sociology from RGU.
\nAAPSA President Techi James, Sahodaya President Levi E Katy and Principal of Holy Cross School, Sr Annie also spoke on the occasion.
\nLater, the ‘Teacher of the Year’ award was also presented to outstanding teachers.
\nIn all, 269 teachers from 29 private schools of the Capital Complex, including Banderdewa and Doimukh took part in the programme.
\nStudents also performed cultural items to honour the teachers.<\/p>\n
