{"id":123393,"date":"2020-05-04T03:13:34","date_gmt":"2020-05-03T21:43:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/?p=123393"},"modified":"2020-05-04T03:13:34","modified_gmt":"2020-05-03T21:43:34","slug":"iaf-choppers-shower-petals-on-trihms","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/index.php\/2020\/05\/04\/iaf-choppers-shower-petals-on-trihms\/","title":{"rendered":"IAF choppers shower petals on TRIHMS"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/IAF-choppers-shower-petals-on-TRIHMS.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-123407 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/IAF-choppers-shower-petals-on-TRIHMS.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"394\" height=\"263\" \/><\/a>ITANAGAR, May 3:<\/strong> Two advanced light helicopters of the Indian Air Force (IAF) showered petals on Tomo Riba Institute of Health &amp; Medical Sciences (TRIHMS), one of the two designated Covid-19 hospitals in the state, on Sunday to express gratitude to the medical personnel engaged in the fight against Covid-19.<br \/>\nAround 30 kgs of petals were showered on TRIHMS &#8211; a view which thousands of people witnessed from the rooftops of their houses.<br \/>\nThe choppers showered the petals on the hospital between 12.03 pm and 12.15 pm.<br \/>\nThe IAF choppers flew from the Tezpur air base under the eastern air command, and returned to the base after conducting the fly-past, Defence Spokesperson, Lt Col Harsh Wardhan Pande, said.<br \/>\n&#8220;The exercise was conducted to express gratitude to corona warriors, including doctors, nurses and paramedical staff. It also aimed at sending a message that the nation is united in the fight against Covid-19,&#8221; he said.<br \/>\nCommending the gesture, Governor BD Mishra expressed hope that the goodwill message would reach every frontline worker, police personnel, official, gaon burah and NGO.<br \/>\n&#8220;This was a true recognition of the committed services rendered by us at the cost of our lives. We have taken oaths to save people&#8217;s lives. This salutation will energize us to work with more dedication,&#8221; TRIHMS Director Dr Moji Jini said.
