{"id":123742,"date":"2020-05-07T02:33:48","date_gmt":"2020-05-06T21:03:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/?p=123742"},"modified":"2020-05-07T02:33:48","modified_gmt":"2020-05-06T21:03:48","slug":"union-demands-revocation-of-adcs-transfer","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/index.php\/2020\/05\/07\/union-demands-revocation-of-adcs-transfer\/","title":{"rendered":"Union demands revocation of ADC&#8217;s transfer"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<strong>ITANAGAR, May 6:<\/strong> The All East Kameng Students&#8217; Union (AEKDSU) on Wednesday served a seven-day ultimatum to the state government demanding immediate revocation of the transfer order of East Kameng ADC Pravimal Abhishek Polumatla.<br \/>\nThe union, which met the chief secretary at the civil secretariat here threatened to launch democratic forms of protests against the government if its demand for a permanent ADC is not met.<br \/>\nStating the plight of the district administration, the AEKDSU said, &#8220;the entire nation has entered the third phase of lockdown and respective district administrations across the state are gearing up preparations, strengthening measures to ensure that the necessary guidelines of the MHA for prevention of the spread of the deadly virus is strictly implemented. On the other hand, it is being observed that exactly the opposite has occurred at East Kameng under the purview of your office. The nodal officer of the Covid-19 has been transferred and his charge has been handed over to a senior grade APCS officer who already has several other offices to serve as the in-charge officer.&#8221;<br \/>\nIt also highlighted the scarcity of administrative rank officers in the district, and said that many officers in the district have been overburdened.<br \/>\nTerming the premature transfer of ADC Polutmatla as &#8220;uncalled and unwelcoming,&#8221; AEKDSU president Chakang Yangda said &#8220;it has deeply hurt local sentiments.&#8221;<br \/>\nYangda alleged the CS of giving false assurances to the people of the district knowing the gravity of the pandemic worldwide.<br \/>\nThe CS had on 29 April assured the union that an IAS rank ADC would be posted in Seppa as the reliever to the outgoing one.<br \/>\nEchoing similar sentiments, the East Kameng Chamber of Commerce and Industries and East Kameng Social Welfare Cultural Organization had also appealed to the state government not to transfer the ADC.<br \/>\nYangda said the AEKDSU will be holding a peaceful protest after the expiry of the ultimatum on 13 May.<br \/>\nSolidarity protests would be held by different student, civil societies and community-based organizations across the state and country.<br \/>\nThe protest observers will carefully abide by the government prescribed restrictions and not gather in large numbers.
