{"id":12552,"date":"2017-12-15T00:33:59","date_gmt":"2017-12-14T19:03:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/?p=12552"},"modified":"2017-12-15T00:33:59","modified_gmt":"2017-12-14T19:03:59","slug":"anshu-conferred-with-kk-handiqui-national-fellowship-award","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/index.php\/2017\/12\/15\/anshu-conferred-with-kk-handiqui-national-fellowship-award\/","title":{"rendered":"Anshu conferred with KK Handiqui National Fellowship Award"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>GUWAHATI, Dec 14:<\/strong> Governor of Assam, Dr Jagdish Mukhi, presented the Krishna Kanta Handiqui National Fellowship to mountaineer Anshu Jamsenpa in a function organized at the Pragjyoti Cultural Complex here last Monday.<br \/>\nThe award consists of a citation, a trophy, and Rs 6 lakh.<br \/>\nAnshu thanked Krishna Kanta Handiqui State Open University (KKHSOU) for the national fellowship award, and reiterated that a mountaineering and adventure sports policy is the need of the hour.<br \/>\nCiting Anshu as a symbol of an empowered woman, KKHSOU Vice Chancellor Dr Hitesh Deka said that a book on her adventurous journey of life is in the pipeline.<br \/>\nRegistrar Dr Aroop Jyoti Choudhury, Vice Chancellor of Dibrugarh University Dr Alak Kumar Buragohain, Vice Chancellor of Cotton University Prof Bhabesh Ch Goswami and several other top intellectuals of North-East states congratulated Anshu on being conferred with the national fellowship award.<br \/>\nDuring the function, former chief commissioner of India, HS Brahma, received the Krishna Kanta Handiqui National award, while Sharmistha Pritam received the fellowship.<br \/>\nGovernor Mukhi also presented scholarships of Rs 1 lakh each to four female UPSC final aspirants under the APJ Abdul Kalam Students&#8217; Welfare Mission of the university.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>GUWAHATI, Dec 14: Governor of Assam, Dr Jagdish Mukhi, presented the Krishna Kanta Handiqui National Fellowship to mountaineer Anshu Jamsenpa in a function organized at the Pragjyoti Cultural Complex here last Monday.
