{"id":128091,"date":"2020-06-14T00:30:30","date_gmt":"2020-06-13T19:00:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/?p=128091"},"modified":"2020-06-14T00:30:30","modified_gmt":"2020-06-13T19:00:30","slug":"poem-36","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/index.php\/2020\/06\/14\/poem-36\/","title":{"rendered":"POEM"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3><strong>Mindscape<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><strong>[ Sersang W Naksang ]<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>I could never get the things I wanted,<br \/>\nSo i accommodated and changed my wants,<br \/>\nI could never have the person I wanted, So I thought I should be there<br \/>\nFor someone who wants me.<\/p>\n<p>Now I sit here, loveless to the core, Wondering about what went wrong,<br \/>\nWhat could have been done-the its and the buts.<\/p>\n<p>But if reflection has taught me anything It is that despite what we could not have, We could still have a lot more,<br \/>\nIf we are willing to look for it.<\/p>\n<p>Contradictory? Yes!<br \/>\nBut that&#8217;s human nature.<\/p>\n<p>To kill and then seek for peace,<br \/>\nTo destroy and then seek to rebuild,<br \/>\nTo sin and then pray to God.<br \/>\nIt&#8217;s human to err.<br \/>\nBut we learn from our mistakes.<\/p>\n<p>On bright days a pessimist,<br \/>\nAn optimist when it&#8217;s dark out.<br \/>\nBut it&#8217;s no fault of mine,<br \/>\nFor I&#8217;m only human,<br \/>\nAnd by that misfortune<br \/>\nI shall play out my hollow scenes,<br \/>\nTill the end of this holocene.<\/p>\n<p>l won&#8217;t go down history,<br \/>\nBut thats fine with me.<br \/>\nWhen I come to think of it,<br \/>\nI would rather be remembered by a select few,<br \/>\nWho knew me for my true self,<br \/>\nRather than going down,<br \/>\nIn the history of a species,<br \/>\nThat has, in its fits of brilliance, Darkened its world.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Mindscape [ Sersang W Naksang ] I could never get the things I wanted, So i accommodated and changed my wants, I could never have the person I wanted, So I thought I should be there For someone who wants me.
