It was focused on providing hands-on training in hygiene and quality control measures to ensure clean milk production, particularly in the times of Covid-19.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The training comprised lectures on pre- and post-milking hygienic measures to ensure healthy animals as well as safe milk for consumers. The participants were given extensive training on processing of various value-added yak milk products like cream, ghee, dahi, lassi, srikhand, kalakand, khoa, rosogulla, gulab jamun, paneer, whey drinks, etc.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8220;Quality checking in terms of organoleptic evaluation, and packaging and presentation for marketing was also an important aspect of the training,&#8221; the NRCY informed in a release.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The centre&#8217;s acting director Dr P Chakravarty commended Drs TP Singh and Joken Bam, and P Namje for conducting the programme.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>DIRANG, Jul 23: Thirteen youths from Sangti, Thembang, Namshu, Jyotinagar and Yewang villages in West Kameng district participated in a three-day training on &#8216;Quality control and processing of yak milk&#8217; imparted by the National Research Centre on Yak (NRCY) here.
