{"id":13504,"date":"2017-12-22T00:12:09","date_gmt":"2017-12-21T18:42:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/?p=13504"},"modified":"2017-12-22T00:12:09","modified_gmt":"2017-12-21T18:42:09","slug":"mamang-dai-wins-sahitya-akademi-award","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/index.php\/2017\/12\/22\/mamang-dai-wins-sahitya-akademi-award\/","title":{"rendered":"Mamang Dai wins Sahitya Akademi Award"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Staff Reporter<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>ITANAGAR, Dec 21:<\/strong> Mamang Dai has won the Sahitya Akademi Award for her 2014 novel,\u00a0The Black Hill.\u00a0Dai, a Padma Shri recipient, was among 24 novelists, poets, and short story writers who received the coveted literature\u00a0award for major Indian languages.<br \/>\nShe has won the award in English Language while literary critic Ramesh Kuntal Megh got the award in the Hindi category for his critique,\u00a0Vishwa Mithak Sarit Sagar.<br \/>\nThe award includes a casket containing an engraved copper plaque, a shawl, and a cheque of Rs 1 lakh. The winners will receive the award on 12 February.
