{"id":135704,"date":"2020-08-28T01:18:49","date_gmt":"2020-08-27T19:48:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/?p=135704"},"modified":"2020-08-28T01:18:49","modified_gmt":"2020-08-27T19:48:49","slug":"training-prog-in-bakery-underway","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/index.php\/2020\/08\/28\/training-prog-in-bakery-underway\/","title":{"rendered":"Training prog in bakery underway"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>KHARSANG, Aug 27:<\/strong> Thirty members of different SHGs are undergoing a training programme on &#8216;cake making and bakery products&#8217; which began here in Changlang district on Thursday.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/08\/Training-prog-in-bakery.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-135707 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/08\/Training-prog-in-bakery.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"340\" height=\"154\" srcset=\"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/08\/Training-prog-in-bakery.jpg 340w, https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/08\/Training-prog-in-bakery-300x136.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 340px) 100vw, 340px\" \/><\/a>Sponsored by the NABARD&#8217;s Itanagar regional office and being conducted by NGO Arunachal Orphan Care Society (AOCS), the programme is being organized under the micro enterprise development programme (MEDP).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The training programme has been arranged in a way that would help the women trainees start their own ventures.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">AOCS chairperson Rina Longri said the training is aimed at &#8220;helping rural women to get skilled in bakery products for micro-enterprise development.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8220;This would empower rural women for better income and self-sustenance,&#8221; she said, and spoke on the &#8220;scope and importance of skill training&#8221; to enhance the socioeconomic status of rural people, especially women entrepreneurs.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">NABARD District Development Manager Kamal Roy spoke on the MEDP.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8220;MEDPs are on-location skill development training programmes which attempt to bridge the skill deficits or facilitate optimization of production activities already pursued by the SHG members,&#8221; he said.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">It will also boost the Aatmanirbhar Bharat and the &#8216;Vocal for local&#8217; initiatives, he said.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>KHARSANG, Aug 27: Thirty members of different SHGs are undergoing a training programme on &#8216;cake making and bakery products&#8217; which began here in Changlang district on Thursday.
