{"id":136626,"date":"2020-09-07T03:05:09","date_gmt":"2020-09-06T21:35:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/?p=136626"},"modified":"2020-09-07T03:05:09","modified_gmt":"2020-09-06T21:35:09","slug":"minister-taba-tedir-in-stable-condition","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/index.php\/2020\/09\/07\/minister-taba-tedir-in-stable-condition\/","title":{"rendered":"Minister Taba Tedir in stable condition"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>ITANAGAR, Sep 6:<\/strong> The medical condition of Education Minister Taba Tedir, who has been admitted here at the Dedicated Covid Hospital (DCH), MLA apartment after testing positive for Covid-19, is currently stable.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Talking to the press here on Sunday, Nodal officer on Covid 19 (TRIHMS) Dr Tamar Paleng informed that Tedir&#8217;s health is being closely monitored.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8220;He was admitted on Friday with fever,&#8221; said Dr Paleng.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Besides minister Tedir, 20 other patients are admitted at DCH, with three patients in critical condition.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8220;The DCH, which started functioning on 16 August has treated 50 patients from across the state,&#8221; said Dr Paleng.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">He also said if the number of patients increase, there would be a need for more human resources at the DCH.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8220;At present, we are managing with the existing manpower,&#8221; he added.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">He also informed that &#8220;till now, 20 health care workers, including six doctors from the TRIHMS have tested positive for Covid-19.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8220;Eighteen of them have recovered and two are still recovering. In fact, some of the doctors have rejoined services after recovering,&#8221; said Dr Paleng.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">He also expressed concern over people not taking Covid-19 seriously.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8220;A wrong message is being circulated in social media that Covid-19 is not a serious disease, which is absolutely wrong. It is not a simple cough and fever disease as it is being made out to appear. Covid has seen fatalities even among young people,&#8221; he said.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Dr Paleng informed that &#8220;on an average, 15 to 20 percent of the cases become very serious and many lose lives within 5 days of infection.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Expressing concern over the growing cases of Covid-19 in the Itanagar capital region, he urged people not to relax and strictly follow the guidelines issued by the health department.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>ITANAGAR, Sep 6: The medical condition of Education Minister Taba Tedir, who has been admitted here at the Dedicated Covid Hospital (DCH), MLA apartment after testing positive for Covid-19, is currently stable.
