{"id":145089,"date":"2020-12-12T02:05:48","date_gmt":"2020-12-11T20:35:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/?p=145089"},"modified":"2020-12-12T02:05:48","modified_gmt":"2020-12-11T20:35:48","slug":"animal-vaccination-programme-conducted","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/index.php\/2020\/12\/12\/animal-vaccination-programme-conducted\/","title":{"rendered":"Animal vaccination programme conducted"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>DIRANG, 11 Dec:<\/strong> The National Research Centre on Yak (NRCY) here in West Kameng district conducted an &#8216;animal health-cum-vaccination programme&#8217; at Bishum Phudung village in Dirang circle of West Kameng district on Friday.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">A total of 100 livestock farmers with 450-500 animals from Bishum Phudung, Khasso, Sangti and Namthung villages attended the programme.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Veterinary doctor Shyam Sundar Choudhury advised the participants on scientific breeding, feeding, healthcare and management of different highland animals.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">NRCY extension scientist Dr K Moephfeo spoke on &#8220;hygienic maintenance aspects of clean milk production and value addition of milk products.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Earlier, the NRCY&#8217;s senior technical officer Dr M Hussain briefly explained &#8220;the scientific management of reproductive problems of livestock.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">At the end of the programme, the farmers were provided with concentrate feed and chelated mineral mixtures, along with some basic veterinary medicines.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The animals were administered vaccines against foot and mouth disease, haemorrhagic septicaemia and black quarter diseases.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>DIRANG, 11 Dec: The National Research Centre on Yak (NRCY) here in West Kameng district conducted an &#8216;animal health-cum-vaccination programme&#8217; at Bishum Phudung village in Dirang circle of West Kameng district on Friday.
