{"id":154818,"date":"2021-03-31T02:05:09","date_gmt":"2021-03-30T20:35:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/?p=154818"},"modified":"2021-03-31T02:05:09","modified_gmt":"2021-03-30T20:35:09","slug":"nes-consultative-meet-discusses-issues-confronting-community","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/index.php\/2021\/03\/31\/nes-consultative-meet-discusses-issues-confronting-community\/","title":{"rendered":"NES&#8217; consultative meet discusses issues confronting community"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>ITANAGAR, 30 Mar:<\/strong> A consultative meeting between the Nyishi Elite Society (NES) and various Nyishi organizations was held at Richi-Jullang near here on 29 March, during which wide-ranging discussions were held on various issues confronting the community.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8220;The meeting adopted a few resolutions, apart from endorsing the NES&#8217; resolution adopted based on the Dr Joram Begi Committee report to bring electoral reform in the ANSU election,&#8221; the NES said in a release.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">It was resolved that &#8220;the new executive body will be given five months&#8217; time for its implementation and incorporation in the ANSU bye-laws.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">NES general secretary Heri Maring informed that the resolutions\/recommendations were submitted to the ANSU on 25 January.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The participants were of the opinion that, from the next ANSU election onwards, the unmarried criterion, which was left out in the NES&#8217; advisory notes, should be incorporated and the maximum age for the executive members should be reduced to 30 years, &#8220;which requires further deliberations,&#8221; the release said.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">A decision to constitute a five-member committee to go into the details of the trends of the Nyishi marriage system and make recommendations on it was also taken during the meeting.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Another five-member committee will prepare advisory notes on &#8216;Marketing of Nyishi ornaments and antiques&#8217; and submit recommendations, the release said.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Both the committees will be constituted in consultation with senior members within two months and their reports will be obtained within six months, the release said.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8220;The presidents and general secretaries of 98 Nyishi organizations who participated in the daylong discussions took strong exception to a very few antisocial elements defaming the community by blackmailing through RTI, extortion, donations, threats and intimidation, land grabbing, etc, and the clan leaders offered to lend a helping hand to the NES in dealing with such criminals at clan level,&#8221; the release said.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The meeting was chaired by NES president Bengia Tolum.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>ITANAGAR, 30 Mar: A consultative meeting between the Nyishi Elite Society (NES) and various Nyishi organizations was held at Richi-Jullang near here on 29 March, during which wide-ranging discussions were held on various issues confronting the community. &#8220;The meeting adopted a few resolutions, apart from endorsing the NES&#8217; resolution adopted based on the Dr Joram [&hellip;]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":2,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[2],"tags":[],"class_list":{"0":"post-154818","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","6":"category-state-news"},"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/154818","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/post"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/2"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/comments?post=154818"}],"version-history":[{"count":0,"href":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/154818\/revisions"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=154818"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/categories?post=154818"},{"taxonomy":"post_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/tags?post=154818"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
