{"id":157366,"date":"2021-05-03T02:11:46","date_gmt":"2021-05-02T20:41:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/?p=157366"},"modified":"2021-05-03T02:11:46","modified_gmt":"2021-05-02T20:41:46","slug":"nscn-k-operative-surrenders-3","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/index.php\/2021\/05\/03\/nscn-k-operative-surrenders-3\/","title":{"rendered":"NSCN-K operative surrenders"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>MIAO, 2 May:<\/strong> One NSCN-K operative, identified as self-styled (SS) private Shammar Ngemu (35), of New Khamlang village here in Changlang district, surrendered before the Changlang district police, the 14th Rajput Regiment, the 171 Bn CRPF and the 4 CI DET eastern command intelligence battalion at the police station here on 30 April.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Ngemu said he had joined the NSCN-K in 2011 &#8220;under the influence of allurement by the members of NSCN-K organization,&#8221; Changlang SP Mihin Gambo informed in a press release.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The SP informed that, after undergoing basic training in Myanmar for three months, Ngemu was staying at Tungmai-III mile in Myanmar, under SS Captain Chauwan Singh of the NSCN-K. &#8220;Later, in 2018, he shifted his camp to Tamaikung, Myanmar, from where he finally decided to shun the organization to live a peaceful life in mainstream society,&#8221; Gambo said.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">This is the third surrender of insurgent operatives in a row within three months.
