KANUBARI, 2 Jun:<\/strong> The KVK Longding organised a training programme cum input distribution programme under the Tribal Sub Plan (TSP) at Senua village recently for 90 rural youths and farmers on vermicomposting.<\/p>\n KVK Longding Head in-charge Dr A Kirankumar Singh spoke on vermicomposting with the use of vermibed in detail. He also informed the participants about the importance of vermiwash and vermicompost for the sustainable production of high-value crops and vegetables to enhance their income.<\/p>\n As a part of different activities of the KVK, Dr Singh highlighted about the ‘Jal Shakti Abhiyan’ in which different activities can be taken up to ensure the sufficient availability of water for household purposes as well as for agricultural uses.<\/p>\n The KVK also celebrated Milk Day with farmers and rural youths on 1 June, wherein Subject Matter Specialist Animal Science Dr Tilling Tayo highlighted the importance of celebrating the day and maintaining the production and productivity of milk in the village.<\/p>\n As a part of the celebrations, all the participants were served a glass of milk each, and further requested to let their children drink a glass of milk every day to keep them healthy.<\/p>\n Additionally, farmers were also advised to follow Covid-appropriate behaviour.<\/p>\n Dr Singh requested them to follow Covid-19 protocol while working in the agricultural fields or any other workplace while maintaining social distancing, using hand sanitizer and wearing masks properly.<\/p>\n Later, Dr Singh distributed vermibeds to 35 participants.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" KANUBARI, 2 Jun: The KVK Longding organised a training programme cum input distribution programme under the Tribal Sub Plan (TSP) at Senua village recently for 90 rural youths and farmers on vermicomposting.
