NIRJULI, 12 Jul:<\/strong> An AICTE-sponsored online short-term training programme (STTP) on ‘advanced engineering optimization through artificial intelligence’ commenced at the North Eastern Regional Institute of Science & Technology (NERIST) here on Monday.<\/p>\n A total of 118 participants from AICTE-approved institutions and a few industrial professionals from all over the country are participating in the six-day training programme.<\/p>\n Addressing the inaugural function, NERIST Director (in-charge) Prof M Muralidhar spoke on “the significance of artificial intelligence and optimization algorithms in solving complex engineering problems.”<\/p>\n The AICTE’s FDC Director B Venkat acknowledged the coordinator as well as the NERIST for organizing the training in the emerging area of artificial intelligence.<\/p>\n NERIST Mechanical Engineering Department Assistant Professor Dr Santosh Kumar Tamang briefed the participants about the course’s contents.
