ITANAGAR, 12 Jul:<\/strong> Two more Covid-19-related deaths were reported on Monday, taking the state’s death toll to 191. One of the deaths was registered on Sunday by the DHS.<\/p>\n According to the DHS report, a 50-year-old female patient with comorbidity from the ICR died of Covid-19-related complications at the DCH in Chimpu at 5:45 pm on Sunday. The patient had tested Covid-19 positive through RAT at a private diagnostic centre in Naharlagun on 2 July and had been admitted to the DCH on the same day.<\/p>\n A 63-year-old female patient with comorbidity from Lohit died of Covid-19 at the DCHC in Tezu on Monday at 1:45 pm. The patient had tested Covid-19 positive through RAT at TRIHMS, Naharlagun on 30 June. She had later been admitted to the DCHC in Tezu on 8 July.<\/p>\n The vaccination status of both patients is nil.<\/p>\n Meanwhile, the state on Monday witnessed the highest spike in Covid-19 cases in a single day with the detection of 566 cases.<\/p>\n Of the total cases, 223 are symptomatic.<\/p>\n The ICR reported the highest 138 Covid-19 cases, followed by 76 cases in West Kameng and 39 cases in Lohit.<\/p>\n With 37 percent, Kurung Kumey reported the highest positivity rate in the state. The ICR also reported a high positivity rate of 11 percent.<\/p>\n On Monday, a total of 364 patients in various health facilities across the state were declared recovered or discharged.<\/p>\n
