{"id":166379,"date":"2021-07-15T02:48:58","date_gmt":"2021-07-14T21:18:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/?p=166379"},"modified":"2021-07-15T02:48:58","modified_gmt":"2021-07-14T21:18:58","slug":"court-sentences-rapist-to-7-yr-ri","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/index.php\/2021\/07\/15\/court-sentences-rapist-to-7-yr-ri\/","title":{"rendered":"Court sentences rapist to 7 yr RI"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>BOMDILA, 14 Jul:<\/strong> The district and sessions court here in West Kameng district on Wednesday sentenced a man to seven years of rigorous imprisonment (RI) and imposed a fine of Rs 2,000 on him for raping a girl.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The court convicted Gopal Kino, a native of Numora in Pakke-Kessang district, under Section 376 IPC.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The incident took place in October 2012, when the victim was proceeding towards the Passo river for a bath.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The incident was reported to the Seijosa police, and a case (No 20\/13 u\/s 376 IPC) was registered. The medical examination of the girl was conducted at the Seijosa CHC.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The court directed the Pakke-Kessang police to shift the convict from the judicial custody here to the Jully jail in Itanagar.
