{"id":16907,"date":"2018-01-22T01:19:23","date_gmt":"2018-01-21T19:49:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/?p=16907"},"modified":"2018-01-22T01:19:23","modified_gmt":"2018-01-21T19:49:23","slug":"dcm-stresses-on-timely-release-of-state-share","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/index.php\/2018\/01\/22\/dcm-stresses-on-timely-release-of-state-share\/","title":{"rendered":"DCM stresses on timely release of state share"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>NEW DELHI, Jan 21:<\/strong> Arunachal Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein laid stress on timely release of state&#8217;s share of central taxes and the need to finance the rejuvenation of the state&#8217;s ageing infrastructure during a pre-budget meeting convened here by Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley on Thursday.<br \/>\nThe pre-budget meeting was held to discuss the broad outline of the union budget and to understand the expectations and needs of states with Finance ministers of all the states.<br \/>\nMein submitted a detailed memorandum to the minister to apprise him of the requirements and issues of the frontier state.<br \/>\nPresenting the needs of Arunachal Pradesh, Mein told the gathering funds are required by the state for financing the maintenance of PMGSY roads; developing smart cities and funding of smart city ratio from 50:50 to 90:10 for the state; providing connectivity to the border areas, especially near the China border; and maintenance of frontier highways and problems facing TCL, like insurgency and drug trafficking.<br \/>\nThe union finance minister took note of the points raised by the DCM and said he would take the demands of Arunachal Pradesh under active consideration.<br \/>\nMein was accompanied by Development Commissioner Ashish Kundra and Tax &amp; Excise Special Secretary Anirudh Saran Singh.
