{"id":170560,"date":"2021-08-31T00:38:03","date_gmt":"2021-08-30T19:08:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/?p=170560"},"modified":"2021-08-31T00:38:03","modified_gmt":"2021-08-30T19:08:03","slug":"ansu-welcomes-move-to-relocate-chakma-hajong-refugees","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/index.php\/2021\/08\/31\/ansu-welcomes-move-to-relocate-chakma-hajong-refugees\/","title":{"rendered":"ANSU welcomes move to relocate Chakma, Hajong refugees"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>ITANAGAR, 30 Aug:<\/strong> Welcoming the central and state governments&#8217; plan to relocate Chakma and Hajong refugees from Arunachal, the All Nyishi Students&#8217; Union (ANSU) on Monday termed the step &#8220;a bold move to resolve permanent solution on vexed issue.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Briefing the media, ANSU GS Gora Rikam Bhai said that the union would wholeheartedly support &#8220;the decision made by the chief minister and the union minister.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8220;AAPSU has been demanding deportation of Chakma and Hajong refugees from Arunachal for five decades. We strongly support AAPSU in this movement,&#8221; said Rikam.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The ANSU GS also appealed to the Chakma and Hajong communities to &#8220;accept this golden opportunity being offered by the central government and refrain from playing victim card.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8220;The union will always stand with the sentiments of the indigenous people of Arunachal Pradesh and will never accept the ill-intended demands for our ancestral land and indigenous rights of the people.
