{"id":171366,"date":"2021-09-11T01:45:26","date_gmt":"2021-09-10T20:15:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/?p=171366"},"modified":"2021-09-11T01:45:26","modified_gmt":"2021-09-10T20:15:26","slug":"mla-launches-jan-andolan-to-end-tb-by-2025","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/index.php\/2021\/09\/11\/mla-launches-jan-andolan-to-end-tb-by-2025\/","title":{"rendered":"MLA launches &#8216;jan andolan&#8217; to end TB by 2025"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>PASIGHAT, 10 Sep:<\/strong> Pasighat East MLA Kaling Moyong on Friday launched a &#8216;jan andolan&#8217; to end TB by 2025, here in East Siang district.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Addressing the gathering, the MLA emphasized on &#8220;effective communication strategy to reach maximum population\u00a0 with the campaign called &#8216;jan andolan&#8217;\u00a0 to create awareness among the general public about all aspects of TB management and to make India a TB-free nation by 2025.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8220;There is also a need to address stigma in a huge way as it is one of the biggest barriers in availing TB treatment,&#8221; Moyong said, and asked the PMC councillors and PRI leaders to play a pivotal role for the success of the campaign.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">JDHS Dr D Raina highlighted the achievements in TB management in the district and informed that, besides at the Pasighat TB hospital, all facilities, including free-of-cost medicines for TB, are also available at BPGH.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">DTO Dr T Siram called for &#8220;collaborative platform in elimination of TB by 2025 from East Siang.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Among others, MS Dr YR Darang and PMC Chief Councillor Okiam Moyong Borang spoke.
