{"id":171695,"date":"2021-09-14T01:49:21","date_gmt":"2021-09-13T20:19:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/?p=171695"},"modified":"2021-09-14T01:49:21","modified_gmt":"2021-09-13T20:19:21","slug":"society-demands-death-penalty-for-rapist","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/index.php\/2021\/09\/14\/society-demands-death-penalty-for-rapist\/","title":{"rendered":"Society demands death penalty for rapist"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>DAPORIJO, 13 Sep:<\/strong> The Neba Welfare Society (NWS) has demanded death penalty for the man accused of raping a minor girl in Sikarijo village in Upper Subansiri district on 8 September.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Stating that the rape accused is absconding after committing the heinous crime, the NWS served a seven-day ultimatum to the Upper Subansiri district administration to arrest him.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">It demanded that the rapist be tried in a fast-track court to ensure early delivery of justice to the victim.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The society also requested the administration to provide necessary compensation under the Arunachal Pradesh Victim Compensation Act, 2011, apart from immediate financial assistance for the victim&#8217;s treatment.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">It appealed to all NGOs and pressure groups to help the police and the administration in arresting the rapist.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>DAPORIJO, 13 Sep: The Neba Welfare Society (NWS) has demanded death penalty for the man accused of raping a minor girl in Sikarijo village in Upper Subansiri district on 8 September.
