{"id":171720,"date":"2021-09-14T01:58:11","date_gmt":"2021-09-13T20:28:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/?p=171720"},"modified":"2021-09-14T01:58:11","modified_gmt":"2021-09-13T20:28:11","slug":"3-arrested-over-illegal-earth-cutting","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/index.php\/2021\/09\/14\/3-arrested-over-illegal-earth-cutting\/","title":{"rendered":"3 arrested over illegal earth-cutting"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>ITANAGAR, 13 Sep:<\/strong> Three persons were arrested in Nirjuli on Sunday, following an order from Itanagar Capital Region (ICR) DC Talo Potom, for carrying out illegal earth-cutting.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The excavator used for the purpose was also seized.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Earth-cutting has been banned in the capital region as per an order issued by the district magistrate on 11 May, 2021, till further order.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The DC has also engaged an administrative officer to contain illegal earth-cutting\/illegal encroachments within the ICR.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">He stressed that the district administration has zero tolerance for such illegal activities, and sought cooperation from all administrative officers, the police and the public in preventing earth-cutting in the capital region.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8220;Activities like illegal earth-cutting may lead to loss of life and properties. It has to be regulated if at all it is to be permitted, so that it does not hamper the ecology,&#8221; the DC said.
