{"id":171734,"date":"2021-09-14T02:02:24","date_gmt":"2021-09-13T20:32:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/?p=171734"},"modified":"2021-09-14T02:02:24","modified_gmt":"2021-09-13T20:32:24","slug":"felix-dissatisfied-with-slow-progress-of-construction-of-fti","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/index.php\/2021\/09\/14\/felix-dissatisfied-with-slow-progress-of-construction-of-fti\/","title":{"rendered":"Felix dissatisfied with slow progress of construction of FTI"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>ITANAGAR, 13 Sep:<\/strong> Information &amp; Public Relations (IPR) Minister Bamang Felix expressed dissatisfaction over the slow progress of construction of the Film &amp; Television Institute (FTI) in Jollang Rakap and asked the central public works department (CPWD) here to complete it by 31 May, 2022.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Felix directed the CPWD to prepare a detailed action plan and comply with the revised deadline set for completion of the institute.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">On Monday, the IPR minister held a coordination meeting with members of the Satyajit Ray Film &amp; Television Institute (SRFTI) and officials of the CPWD and the directorate of information &amp; public relations (DIPR) to review the progress of construction of the institute, and other related issues.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Felix directed the DIPR officials to visit the institute site every week to monitor the construction work and its progress.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Assuring all possible help and assistance for timely completion of the institute, the minister cautioned that &#8220;the state government will not tolerate negligence on the part of any official and private individuals or group creating trouble in smooth construction and completion of the institute.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">CPWD Executive Engineer Parsoon Kumar Pal assured to complete the institute &#8220;two months ahead of the official deadline.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8220;As of now, all residential structures of the institute have been completed and we have scheduled 31 March, 2022 as the final completion date,&#8221; he said.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">SRFTI Director Prof Debasish Ghoshal informed that the issue of recruitment of 65 staffers &#8211; both teaching and non-teaching &#8211; in the NEFTI is being pursued with the union ministry of information &amp; broadcasting, and that the appointments are likely to be sanctioned shortly.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The meeting was attended by, among others, IPR Secretary NT Glow, DIPR Director Dasher Teshi, SRFTI Registrar Dr Sushrut Sharma and its nodal officer Prof Samiran Dutta.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>ITANAGAR, 13 Sep: Information &amp; Public Relations (IPR) Minister Bamang Felix expressed dissatisfaction over the slow progress of construction of the Film &amp; Television Institute (FTI) in Jollang Rakap and asked the central public works department (CPWD) here to complete it by 31 May, 2022.
