{"id":17284,"date":"2018-01-25T00:53:02","date_gmt":"2018-01-24T19:23:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/?p=17284"},"modified":"2018-01-25T00:53:02","modified_gmt":"2018-01-24T19:23:02","slug":"senior-nscn-kn-militant-apprehended","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/index.php\/2018\/01\/25\/senior-nscn-kn-militant-apprehended\/","title":{"rendered":"Senior NSCN (KN) militant apprehended"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>KOHIMA, Jan 24:<\/strong> A self-styled Brigadier of the NSCN Kitovi-Neopak (KN) and two other militants of the outfit were apprehended in Nagaland by security forces.<br \/>\nAheto H Chophy, the Self Styled Brigadier, Self Styled Sergeant Witti Marak and Mughahoto Sumi were apprehended by the troops of Assam Rifles at a mobile vehicle check post in Zubza near Kohima on 23 January.<br \/>\nActing on specific information provided by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) about movement of a senior NSCN militant from Dimapur to Zunheboto, a joint team of Assam Rifles and NIA established multiple mobile vehicle check posts in Kohima district.<br \/>\nA type-56 rifle, two pistols, 176 rounds of ammunition, Indian currency amounting to Rs 1,32,320; mobile instruments and incriminating documents were seized from the apprehended militants.<br \/>\nAheto is one of the accused in a NIA case (No RC 03\/2013\/NIA\/GUW) pertaining to criminal conspiracy and misappropriation of government arms and ammunition belonging to Zunehboto District Executive Force Kote.<br \/>\nA non-bailable warrant was issued against him by a Special Judge of NIA in 2014.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>KOHIMA, Jan 24: A self-styled Brigadier of the NSCN Kitovi-Neopak (KN) and two other militants of the outfit were apprehended in Nagaland by security forces.
