{"id":173313,"date":"2021-10-04T01:18:05","date_gmt":"2021-10-03T19:48:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/?p=173313"},"modified":"2021-10-04T01:18:05","modified_gmt":"2021-10-03T19:48:05","slug":"football-tournament-organized","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/index.php\/2021\/10\/04\/football-tournament-organized\/","title":{"rendered":"Football tournament organized"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>MLA announces Rs 1 cr for multipurpose sports ground in Diyun next FY<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>[ Pisi Zauing ]<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>TMT\/MIAO, 3 Oct:<\/strong> Commemorating the Swarnim Vijay Varsh and Gandhi Jayanti 2021, the finale of the maiden Arunachal Pradesh Chakma Students&#8217; Union (APCSU) Winter Football Tournament, themed &#8216;Say no to drugs&#8217;, was played between Avoipur Youth FC (AYFC) and United Miao FC (UMFC) at the Diyun general ground on Saturday.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In the scintillating finale watched by jam-packed soccer lovers, UMFC defeated the opponent and lifted the trophy, while AYFC took home the runners-up trophy.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Twenty-seven teams from Changlang, Namsai, Papum Pare and Lohit districts faced off against each other in the knockout tournament.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Earlier, MLA Shomlung Mossang while commending the APCSU for the positive initiative highlighted the ongoing developmental projects in Diyun-Bordumsa constituency. He promised to allocate Rs 1 crore for a multipurpose sports ground in Diyun in the next financial year under the DoTCL.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Changlang DC Dr Devansh Yadav announced four Chakma villages &#8211; Milanpur, M&#8217;Pen-I, M&#8217;Pen-II and Dharmapur-II &#8211; as drug-free villages. He lauded the Chakma students&#8217; union for &#8220;taking the initiative to engage youths in games and sports and develop the will to defeat drugs.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8220;The APCSU has always been raising voice against drug trafficking and consumption and initiated many awareness programmes in the past by reaching out to villages,&#8221; said APCSU president Drishya Muni Chakma.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8220;Humanity demands certain discipline and that discipline cannot be achieved when our children and youths indulge in drugs.
