{"id":173708,"date":"2021-10-08T00:51:26","date_gmt":"2021-10-07T19:21:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/?p=173708"},"modified":"2021-10-08T00:51:26","modified_gmt":"2021-10-07T19:21:26","slug":"arunachal-kabaddi-team-wins-national-cship","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/index.php\/2021\/10\/08\/arunachal-kabaddi-team-wins-national-cship\/","title":{"rendered":"Arunachal kabaddi team wins national c&#8217;ship"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>ITANAGAR, 7 Oct:<\/strong> The Arunachal kabaddi team returned to the state on Thursday after winning the National Sports Championship-2021.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Arunachal defeated Rajasthan 21-10 in the final match held on 2 October.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The three-day championship was organized by the National Sports &amp; Physical Fitness Board at the Guru Ram Rai University in Dehradun.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8220;For the first time ever, a kabaddi team has brought laurels to the state, defeating teams such as Haryana, Gujarat and Rajasthan,&#8221; said Arunachal Kabaddi Association president Bamang Raman.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">He said that the association is overwhelmed with the victory of the team, adding that &#8220;the association will try its best to lead the team to participate in international tournaments, as well.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Raman informed that the association will organize district-wise kabaddi tournaments to provide opportunities to talented sportspersons of the state.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">He appealed to the state government to provide help in getting the association a permanent coach and a stadium for the players, &#8220;in order to build talented and strong players from the state.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">He also appealed to the government to &#8220;generate job opportunities for the medal bearers.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>ITANAGAR, 7 Oct: The Arunachal kabaddi team returned to the state on Thursday after winning the National Sports Championship-2021.
