{"id":176489,"date":"2021-11-11T00:24:04","date_gmt":"2021-11-10T18:54:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/?p=176489"},"modified":"2021-11-11T00:24:04","modified_gmt":"2021-11-10T18:54:04","slug":"india-nepal-bus-service-resumes-after-over-a-year","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/index.php\/2021\/11\/11\/india-nepal-bus-service-resumes-after-over-a-year\/","title":{"rendered":"India-Nepal bus service resumes after over a year"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Siliguri, Nov 10 (PTI) Bus service between Siliguri in West Bengal and Kathmandu in Nepal resumed after remaining suspended for over a year and a half due to the COVID-19 pandemic.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">A 45-seater bus left the Siliguri Junction bus terminus on Tuesday afternoon for Kathmandu with a few passengers.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The bus will reach Kathmandu via Kakarvita, Lalgarh, Naubis, as per the Siliguri Bus Owners&#8217; And Booking Agents&#8217; Association.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Passengers travelling on the bus will have to be fully vaccinated, besides following all COVID-safety protocols, the association&#8217;s president Santosh Saha said.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The bus will leave for Kathmandu from Siliguri on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays at 3 pm.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The ticket is priced at Rs 1,500.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Tour operators expressed hope, stating that the resumption of the bus service would boost tourism in the region.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Siliguri, Nov 10 (PTI) Bus service between Siliguri in West Bengal and Kathmandu in Nepal resumed after remaining suspended for over a year and a half due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
