{"id":18039,"date":"2018-02-01T01:23:37","date_gmt":"2018-01-31T19:53:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/?p=18039"},"modified":"2018-02-01T01:23:37","modified_gmt":"2018-01-31T19:53:37","slug":"sde-dept-sets-target-to-impart-employable-skills-to-86000-youths","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/index.php\/2018\/02\/01\/sde-dept-sets-target-to-impart-employable-skills-to-86000-youths\/","title":{"rendered":"SDE dept sets target to impart employable skills to 86,000 youths"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>ITANAGAR, Jan 31:<\/strong> The state&#8217;s department of Skill Development &amp; Entrepreneurship has set a target of imparting employable skills to 86,000 youths under various schemes, especially the Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY).<br \/>\nThe department on 29 January launched a state-wide rally at Nirjuli to sensitize the youth about the skill development schemes and the importance of skill training, especially in market driven sectors.<br \/>\nThe rallies will be organized in all the districts by their respective district industry centre (DIC) till first week of March this year.<br \/>\nThese rallies will provide a platform to individual agencies, organizations and departments to highlight their plans, programmes and policies.<br \/>\nThe programme will include seminars and table conferences by the training providers with the candidates, listing of names of the candidate\/ youth for future employable skill development training.<br \/>\nThe sectors likely to be covered under the skill development training are banking, financial services and insurance, healthcare, hospitality, earthmoving and infrastructure building, security services, media and entertainment, furniture and fitting, iron and steel, plumbing, ICT, food processing, beauty culture and hair dressing, spa and wellness, travel and tourism, handicrafts, retail, plastic processing, textiles and handloom, electrician, driver &#8211; cum-mechanic, logistics, domestic workers, paints and coatings, etc.<br \/>\nThe aspiring candidates, however, will have to get themselves registered with a vocational training provider to undergo such training to be sponsored by the government.<br \/>\nThe department is responsible for implementation of the PMKVY in the state, which have the components of short term employable skill development training with guaranteed job after successful completion of the training under 100 per cent sponsorship of the government, Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL), Special Package and Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Kendra.<br \/>\nApart from the state government departments, other stakeholders taking part in the rally are the National Skill Development Corporation, National Skill Development Agency, Sector Skill Councils, bankers, 41 vocational training providers, the Ali Yavar Jung National Institute of Speech &amp; Hearing Disabilities (Divyangan), socio-economic rehabilitation development-cum- NE, etc.<br \/>\nThey will sensitize the youth simultaneously about the schemes, programmes and policies under their domain.<br \/>\nThe bankers are being associated to create an awareness of their credit policy and programmes and to provide credit facilitate to the skilled youth, especially under MUDRA etc.<br \/>\nThe bankers will also have the platform to talk on bank loan recovery perspective, etc.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>ITANAGAR, Jan 31: The state&#8217;s department of Skill Development &amp; Entrepreneurship has set a target of imparting employable skills to 86,000 youths under various schemes, especially the Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY).
