{"id":181035,"date":"2022-01-05T00:54:48","date_gmt":"2022-01-04T19:24:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/?p=181035"},"modified":"2022-01-05T00:54:48","modified_gmt":"2022-01-04T19:24:48","slug":"strong-demand-for-indian-apparels-to-further-push-exports-says-trade-body","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/index.php\/2022\/01\/05\/strong-demand-for-indian-apparels-to-further-push-exports-says-trade-body\/","title":{"rendered":"Strong demand for Indian apparels to further push exports, says trade body"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">New Delhi, Jan 4 (PTI): Strong demand and healthy order books will further help in boosting the country\u2019s exports in the coming months, Apparel Export Promotion Council (AEPC) Chairman A Sakthivel said on Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cWe have a fast-growing order book from brands and buyers across the world\u2026With the help of strong demand conditions, Indian apparel exports will see historic highs soon in the next coming months,\u201d he said in a statement.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Export of readymade garments saw an increase of 22 per cent to USD 1.46 billion in December 2021 from USD 1.20 billion in the same month of 2020. Total apparel exports stood at USD 11.13 billion during April-December 2021.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cIndian apparels have also bounced back. This is despite the fact that local restrictions impacted operations in the first quarter during the second wave of the pandemic.
