{"id":182000,"date":"2022-01-19T01:30:40","date_gmt":"2022-01-18T20:00:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/?p=182000"},"modified":"2022-01-19T01:30:40","modified_gmt":"2022-01-18T20:00:40","slug":"inputs-distribution-nutritional-gardening-progs-held","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/index.php\/2022\/01\/19\/inputs-distribution-nutritional-gardening-progs-held\/","title":{"rendered":"Inputs distribution, nutritional gardening progs held"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>BAM, 18 Jan:<\/strong> Twenty progressive farmers benefitted from a &#8216;training-cum-inputs distribution&#8217; programme under the Tribal Sub-Plan, organized by the West Siang KVK at its instructional farm here in Leparada district on Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The farmers were taught about establishing livestock-based integrated farming system (IFS) by KVK Head (in-charge) Dr Moloy Sarmah Baruah, while the ICAR&#8217;s Basar-based state centre&#8217;s Joint Director, Dr H Kalita spoke on sustainable IFS.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Thirty cross-breed piglets and pig grower feeds were later distributed among the farmers to encourage them to incorporate the piglets in their IFS activities.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Earlier, on 17 January, the West Siang KVK organized a programme on nutritional gardening and tree plantation to mark the International Year of Millets.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The programme included a plantation drive at the ICAR state centre&#8217;s research farm in Gori, and distribution of 86 planting materials, including saplings of Assam lemon, to farmers.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Rabi vegetables seeds were distributed among 32 progressive farmers.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>BAM, 18 Jan: Twenty progressive farmers benefitted from a &#8216;training-cum-inputs distribution&#8217; programme under the Tribal Sub-Plan, organized by the West Siang KVK at its instructional farm here in Leparada district on Tuesday.
