{"id":18222,"date":"2018-02-03T01:20:58","date_gmt":"2018-02-02T19:50:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/?p=18222"},"modified":"2018-02-03T01:20:58","modified_gmt":"2018-02-02T19:50:58","slug":"ifs-trainees-visit-eaglenest-sanctuary","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/index.php\/2018\/02\/03\/ifs-trainees-visit-eaglenest-sanctuary\/","title":{"rendered":"IFS trainees visit Eaglenest sanctuary"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>BALIMU, Feb 2:<\/strong> Thirty-five trainee officers of the Indian Forest Service (IFS), along with a trainee officer from the Bhutan Forest Service &#8211; all belonging to the 2016-18 course &#8211; visited the Eaglenest wildlife sanctuary here in West Kameng district on 2 February.<br \/>\nDuring the visit, DFO Millo Tasser briefed the group on ecotourism, the management interventions practiced at the Eaglenest, and the history and biodiversity of the sanctuary.<br \/>\nThe trainee officers also learned about the creation of community reserve, and interacted with members of the Community Reserve Management Committee. Later they visited the Nature Interpretation Centre at Ramalingam.<br \/>\nThe trainee officers are currently undergoing training in professional forestry at the Indira Gandhi National Forest Academy, Dehradun. The visit to the sanctuary was part of their &#8216;East India tour&#8217;.
