{"id":183085,"date":"2022-02-02T00:17:20","date_gmt":"2022-02-01T18:47:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/?p=183085"},"modified":"2022-02-02T00:17:20","modified_gmt":"2022-02-01T18:47:20","slug":"nagaland-reports-first-omicron-case","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/index.php\/2022\/02\/02\/nagaland-reports-first-omicron-case\/","title":{"rendered":"Nagaland reports first Omicron case"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Kohima, Feb 1 (PTI) Nagaland on Tuesday reported its first Omicron variant of COVID-19 case, a senior health department official said.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Principal Director, Health and Family Welfare, Dr Neikrielie Khimiao said a total of 152 samples were sent from Nagaland to the Institute of Bioresources and Sustainable Development, Imphal for whole genome sequencing test.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The reports were received on January 31, of which 73 cases were reported positive with 54 Omicron variants and 19 Delta variants.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Nagaland Health minister S Pangnyu Phom in a tweet confirmed the detection of 54 cases of Omicron in the state.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The minister assured that all possible measures were in place to monitor the situation.
