{"id":184002,"date":"2022-02-11T00:31:28","date_gmt":"2022-02-10T19:01:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/?p=184002"},"modified":"2022-02-11T00:31:28","modified_gmt":"2022-02-10T19:01:28","slug":"man-gets-20-yr-ri-under-pocso-act","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/index.php\/2022\/02\/11\/man-gets-20-yr-ri-under-pocso-act\/","title":{"rendered":"Man gets 20-yr RI under POCSO Act"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>BOMDILA, 10 Feb:<\/strong> The West Kameng district &amp; sessions judge, who is also the special judge of the POCSO court, has sentenced one Bhawani Chetry to 20 years&#8217; rigorous imprisonment (RI) under Section 6 of the POCSO Act and imposed a fine of Rs 5,000 on him.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Judge Tageng Padoh in his verdict on Thursday also awarded the accused a sentence of one year&#8217;s simple imprisonment for his offence under Section 506 IPC, along with a fine of Rs 2,000.
