{"id":18481,"date":"2018-02-05T01:18:16","date_gmt":"2018-02-04T19:48:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/?p=18481"},"modified":"2018-02-05T01:18:16","modified_gmt":"2018-02-04T19:48:16","slug":"mla-calls-for-timely-completion-of-pakke-seijosa-itakhola-road","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/index.php\/2018\/02\/05\/mla-calls-for-timely-completion-of-pakke-seijosa-itakhola-road\/","title":{"rendered":"MLA calls for timely completion of Pakke-Seijosa-Itakhola road"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>SEIJOSA, Feb 4:<\/strong> Pakke-Kessang MLA Biyuram Wahge has directed the officials and the contractor concerned to carry out construction of the Pakke-Seijosa-Itakhola road on a war footing.<br \/>\nHe said this while inspecting the ongoing work on the North East Council (NEC)-funded road project here in East Kameng district, along with officials and PRI members.<br \/>\nThe project is for upgrading the 62 km Pakke-Seijosa-Itakhola road, which will connect Itakhola in Assam at one end and the Sagalee-Seppa-Nechiphu NH-13 road on other end. The work was allotted to PRL-Gepung (JV) in April 2017 through national bidding, but due to litigation the actual work started only in October last year.<br \/>\nWahge along with Pakke-Kessang PWD Division EE Nabam Takar, AE K Ngomdir, ZPM Pani Tayem, and the contractor inspected the work from the check gate to the 8 km point in Goloso. He requested the PRI members to check the work progress and resolve any hindrance with the help of officials and the administration.<br \/>\nThe MLA directed the executing firm not to compromise with the quality of work, and asked the contractor to complete the work in the stipulated time.<br \/>\nSeijosa PWD Division EE Nabam Takar informed that the improvement and upgrading work on the road was approved by the NEC in 2013-14 with an estimated cost of Rs 166.16 crore, and it was sanctioned in 2015-16.<br \/>\n&#8220;However, it got delayed because of litigation, and the tender process could be completed in April 2017. Later it got embroiled in a fresh litigation, which again delayed the project.
