{"id":185020,"date":"2022-02-24T00:20:49","date_gmt":"2022-02-23T18:50:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/?p=185020"},"modified":"2022-02-24T00:20:49","modified_gmt":"2022-02-23T18:50:49","slug":"mizoram-to-soon-start-bus-service-to-tripura","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/index.php\/2022\/02\/24\/mizoram-to-soon-start-bus-service-to-tripura\/","title":{"rendered":"Mizoram to soon start bus service to Tripura"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Aizawl, Feb 23 (PTI) Mizoram will soon start a bus service to Tripura, Transport Minister TJ Lalnuntluanga told the assembly on Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Replying to a question, he said an agreement was reached with the Tripura government in December last year to launch the bus service between the two Northeastern states.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8220;The inter-state bus service operation will commence once the COVID-19 situation improves,&#8221; he told the assembly.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">He said bus services will also be started from Aizawl to Manipur&#8217;s Churachandpur and Tahan in Myanmar.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The process to start the services could not be expedited due to the pandemic, he said.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">An agreement has been sent to the Manipur government and its approval is awaited, the minister said.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Regarding the bus service to Myanmar, the state government is yet to receive approval from the Ministry of External Affairs, Lalnuntluanga said.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Mizoram operates a bus service to only Guwahati in Assam via Shillong in Meghalaya, Transport Department Director R Lalrammawia said.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">However, the service is suspended at present due to the pandemic, he said.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Aizawl, Feb 23 (PTI) Mizoram will soon start a bus service to Tripura, Transport Minister TJ Lalnuntluanga told the assembly on Wednesday.
