{"id":187018,"date":"2022-03-23T02:47:04","date_gmt":"2022-03-22T21:17:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/?p=187018"},"modified":"2022-03-23T02:47:04","modified_gmt":"2022-03-22T21:17:04","slug":"former-forest-officer-akha-wangsu-no-more","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/index.php\/2022\/03\/23\/former-forest-officer-akha-wangsu-no-more\/","title":{"rendered":"Former forest officer Akha Wangsu no more"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>HASSE RUSSA, 22 Mar:<\/strong> Retired forest officer and father of Kanubari MLA GD Wangsu, Akha Wangsu (79), passed away at his residence here in Longding district on 20 March, following a cardiac arrest.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">He is survived by his wife, three sons and two daughters.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Late Akha Wangsu had joined the forest department in the then Tirap<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">district in 1967, and worked till his retirement in 2003.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Hundreds of people from the Wancho clan, besides HoDs, led by Longding DC Bani Lego and DMO Dr Worar Taku, attended the funeral.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">MLA GD Wangsu recalled his father as a man who never wavered from his ideals.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8220;I am still following the principles of life laid down by my father for me that as a leader I must be truthful to myself first and should never judge people based on their clan, caste, creed or class but help them on priority,&#8221; he said.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>HASSE RUSSA, 22 Mar: Retired forest officer and father of Kanubari MLA GD Wangsu, Akha Wangsu (79), passed away at his residence here in Longding district on 20 March, following a cardiac arrest.
