{"id":189014,"date":"2022-04-18T00:33:07","date_gmt":"2022-04-17T19:03:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/?p=189014"},"modified":"2022-04-18T00:33:07","modified_gmt":"2022-04-17T19:03:07","slug":"court-stays-removal-of-tca-secretary","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/index.php\/2022\/04\/18\/court-stays-removal-of-tca-secretary\/","title":{"rendered":"Court stays removal of TCA secretary"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Agartala, Apr 17 (PTI) A court here has stayed the removal of Tripura Cricket Association secretary Timir Chanda by TCA president Manik Saha.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Chanda, a former all-rounder of the Tripura Ranji team was abruptly removed from the post of TCA secretary on charge of &#8220;non-cooperation&#8221; by the TCA president on March 30.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Challenging the TCA president&#8217;s decision, Chanda had filed a case with the Civil Judge of Senior Division, Agartala, Tanushree Debnath.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8220;The court took up the case for hearing on Monday but reserved the verdict. The court on Saturday stayed the removal order of Timir Chanda until further order&#8221;, Chanda&#8217;s lawyer Sankar Lodh, said.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8220;After Saturday&#8217;s order passed by the court, the decision of removing the TCA secretary by its president has no legal value.
