{"id":189102,"date":"2022-04-19T00:31:37","date_gmt":"2022-04-18T19:01:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/?p=189102"},"modified":"2022-04-19T00:31:37","modified_gmt":"2022-04-18T19:01:37","slug":"man-dies-of-mushroom-poisoning-in-assam","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/index.php\/2022\/04\/19\/man-dies-of-mushroom-poisoning-in-assam\/","title":{"rendered":"Man dies of mushroom poisoning in Assam"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Haflong, Apr 18 (PTI) One person died while five others have been admitted to a hospital after consuming wild mushrooms in Assam&#8217;s Dima Hasao district, an official said.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">All the six persons had consumed wild mushrooms a week back in the 8 Kilo area under Umrangso police station.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">After eating the mushrooms, they developed nausea and started vomiting a day later following which they were admitted to Umrangso Primary Health Centre.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">They were referred to Haflong Civil Hospital on Monday when their condition continued to deteriorate, the official said.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">One of the patients, Manik Kurmi, succumbed on way to the hospital, the official said.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The other five are undergoing treatment at the facility, the official added.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">At least 11 people died of mushroom poisoning in some districts of upper Assam earlier this month.
