ITANAGAR, 29 Apr:<\/strong> The excise licensees and officials of the tax, excise & narcotics department were given hands-on training in ‘Electronic government receipt accounting system (eGRAS)’ during a three-day programme at the e-Office training hall of the civil secretariat here.<\/p>\n The training for the excise licensees was held on 27 April, and the training for the officials of the department was held on 28 and 29 April.<\/p>\n Tax, Excise & Narcotics Assistant Commissioner Teli Ngomdir supervised the training sessions as resource person, along with officials of the NIC Itanagar.<\/p>\n The finance department has decided to roll out the eGRAS to serve as a common collection portal for the state.<\/p>\n “eGRAS is a secure web application which provides the citizens and the business community the facility to pay taxes, non-tax receipts to the government electronically at any point of time from any location, using banks’ internet payment gateways.
