{"id":190015,"date":"2022-04-30T02:29:22","date_gmt":"2022-04-29T20:59:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/?p=190015"},"modified":"2022-04-30T02:29:22","modified_gmt":"2022-04-29T20:59:22","slug":"centre-will-work-out-way-to-resolve-security-issues-in-arunachal-pramanik","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/index.php\/2022\/04\/30\/centre-will-work-out-way-to-resolve-security-issues-in-arunachal-pramanik\/","title":{"rendered":"Centre will work out way to resolve security issues in Arunachal: Pramanik"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>ITANAGAR, 29 Apr:<\/strong> Reiterating the strategic importance of Arunachal Pradesh for the country, union MoS for Home Affairs Nisith Pramanik on Friday assured to &#8220;work out every possibility for resolving security issues in the state.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The minister, who is on his maiden visit to the state&#8217;s capital, gave the assurance during a meeting with the police officers at the police headquarters here.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">During the meeting, Pramanik was briefed on various issues, including insurgency in the TCL region; operationalisation of the Special Task Force (STF); modernisation of police forces; narcotics, shortage of police manpower, etc.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Pramanik assured to pursue the matter of narcotics in the state with the union home minister &#8220;for an early and decisive solution.&#8221; He further assured to take up the matter of increasing the Centre&#8217;s funding ratio for two sanctioned IRBns for the state from 75:25 to 100 percent.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In regard to the welfare of the people living in villages along the international borders, the union minister disclosed that Arunachal will be allocated adequate funds under the Centre&#8217;s new Vibrant Villages programme.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">He invited a delegation of the state&#8217;s home department, headed by Home Minister Bamang Felix, to visit New Delhi with proposals concerning development and welfare of the police department and its personnel in the state.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Felix highlighted &#8220;the critical requirement for creation of three group centres in eastern, western and central part of the state to act as gated communities having inbuilt self-sufficiency for police personnel and their families.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Apart from raising the funding ratio for two sanctioned IRBns, Felix sought the Centre&#8217;s continued support under the TCL action plan, inclusion of scope for housing projects for police under the Centre&#8217;s modernisation of police forces scheme, etc.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Earlier, Pramanik, along with Felix, MLA Hayeng Mangfi, DGP (in-charge) Chukhu Apa, IGP Apur Bitin, state&#8217;s security advisor SC Mohanty and other police officers visited the 1st AAPBn ground in Chimpu, where the state&#8217;s STF personnel demonstrated unarmed combat and hostage rescue techniques, and displayed weapons.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>ITANAGAR, 29 Apr: Reiterating the strategic importance of Arunachal Pradesh for the country, union MoS for Home Affairs Nisith Pramanik on Friday assured to &#8220;work out every possibility for resolving security issues in the state.&#8221;
